Butterfly Quilt
From start to finish. This one was my first chevron quilt and my first pretty good fmq'ing quilt. I made it for my daughter. I found the butterfly design in the 501 Quilting Motifs book. There was a lot of 'tracing' on the quilt and marking for the feathers. I am in love with the colors as well. Who would have thought to put teal and yellow together? Me! lol Sometimes I surprise myself!!!
Sometimes I have 'happy accidents' with colours, when I drop a box of scraps say and some fabrics go together and whoosh lightbulb moment on the colour schemes for future quilts. I love the chevron design, it is just perfect for lots of lovely quilting.
